Australian Pottery Gundars Zigurts Lusis (originally from Latvia) created Gunda pottery in the garage of his family home in Camberwell, Melbourne in 1956.
Gundars decided to name the pottery company Gunda, as he thought the Australian folk would be able to pronounce it easier.
He made a lot of stylish domestic ceramics, but also created some stunning biomorphic, geometric, and organic shapes and designs. Individual, unusual, stunning and retro pieces.
